Tyrick Rollison the 6-foot-2, 186 pound four-star quarterback from Sulphur Springs , Texas , has seven scholarship offers but his top choice, Texas Tech, hasn't offered yet.

He says the Red Raiders lead solidly over Oklahoma State , Kansas , Florida State and TCU. The Cowboys haven't offered yet either but Rollison also has rides from Kansas , Florida State , TCU, Houston and Arizona .

"Texas Tech is a place where I feel very comfortable," Rollison said. "I felt like I could fit in there. The atmosphere is really nice and they just treat you like family. The coaches are real cool and they have a great offense built for the quarterback. The offense is great every year and they are a winning team."

Rollison, ranked as the No. 12 quarterback in the country by Scout.com, visited the Red Raiders for their junior day and he'll also be attending their spring game in April. Another thing that Rollison likes about Texas Tech is that they are within his driving range. "I'll probably stay close," he admitted. "I don't want to go too far away. I'd like to stay with six to eight hours driving and that's about how far away Texas Tech is."

Although he admits that the Texas Tech coaches haven't talked to him about a scholarship offer, he's optimistic he'll get one. "But even if they offered, I'd still wait to commit," he said. "I'd probably ride it out and see what else comes up."

Texas Tech is the only school that Rollison has already visited, but he says he'll likely go to a series of one-day camps during the summer. One school he definitely would like to visit is Oklahoma State .

"I've talked to the coaches at Oklahoma State and I think they'll offer," he said. "But we didn't really talk about that. They just told me that I remind them of their current quarterback and that they think I'd fit in well with their offense."

The first school to offer Rollison was Kansas , but he admits he doesn't know much about the Jayhawks except, "they had a great season last year."

Rollison says he used to play running back and says that his favorite player was Reggie Bush and that he used to love watching USC play. "I really liked his running style and they used to be my favorite team," he said.

Although Rollison lists Florida State in his top five, he admits the 'Noles are a longshot. "They are too far away," he said. "I don't really know a lot about them, but they have good tradition. If they were closer, I'd definitely be interested.

"I won't make a decision until next year," he said. "I'm not in a hurry. I want to play in a good atmosphere and where I fit in with the offense."

Rollison finished his junior season with nearly 3,600 yards passing for 37 touchdowns along with 10 interceptions. He also had 130 carries for 554 yards and seven more scores.

He says he can bench 235 pounds and squat 405. "I have great awareness in the pocket and have a powerful arm," he said. "I'm not quite a Vince Young, but I am able to come out of the pocket and make things happen too."
